Rugged, mechanical 25-pair Cutter/Presser Tool
for splicing MS² Modular Connectors.

Features

• Few moving parts keeps tool maintenance to a minimum to improve reliability.

• Small in size - may be used in applications where space is at a premium.

• Retainer springs provide wire tension to hold conductors in place on splice module bottom.

• Small cutting blades, which are an integral part of each connector, cut conductors to eliminate maintenance in tool.

• Geared mechanical lever reduces pressure required to cut conductors and close splice module.

Applications

• For making straight, fold-back and bridge splices.

• May be used for single or double bank splices.

• Used with 25-pair MS² modular connectors, with or without grease boxes.

• Various mounting bars are available for supporting the Cutter/Presser Tool in unlimited configurations.

Modular splicing improves productivity and accuracy because fewer shorts and crosses are prevalent with modular connectors when compared to single pair or discrete connectors. These improvements are the result of not only the splice connectors but the tools that are used to hold nad close the connectors during splicing.
Cutter/Presser Tools also provide a means for checking the location of each wire in the splice connector to ensure reliability and minimize the potential for errors or incorrect wire placement.
Mechanical in design, these machines are designed to cycle through thousands of splice connections and withstand the rigors of daily use with minimal cleaning and daily maintenance.
