The Pronto Closure resists water migration into both cable and splice by force encapsulating the joint. Self-vulcanizing tape, wrapped with hand tension, becomes a homogenous mass and completely covers the splice while applying compression to the filling compound. A special wrap of UV resistant tape covering provides a tough abrasion resistant covering over the splice while an aluminum canister may be applied over the splice for additional mechanical protection.
