1. GENERAL
1.1 This practice descirbes the procedures for making open sheath pressure and/or  moisture plugs in air core plastic insulated conductor cables of single and double polyethylene or lead outer sheaths.

2. DESCRIPTION
2.1 The RP-6004 is a two component nonexpanding polyurethane, pressure plugging compound. The open sheath system is designed to form an air-tight or water barrier, 1 hour after the completion of injecting the compound at 70-90° F. temperature.
